Greg died in October 2006 in a horrific hotel fire. He had just returned from the Phillipines where he was married. Greg's family waited to have the memorial in hopes that his wife and child would be able to come to the United States.... but it didn't happen. There were quite a few people there given the length since his death. Thanks for asking.
I'm so sorry to hear that story. My memory of Greg is of a cool guy who was a great musician. He just seemed like a person of the times, so 60's, if you know what I mean.
So sad to hear his death was so violent.
Thanks for your thoughts, Deb. Greg and I had kept in touch over the years. How are you doing? Where are you at? Marshalltown or other? I'm in Des Moines and also have a lake home at Holiday Lake where I spend most of my time in the summer.
My husband and I live in Northwest Indiana -- We built our dream house in 2000 right on a small lake and love it here. Life is good and we can't complain. I still am working as a newspaper reporter and Jim just retired as a teacher. He still coaches at the college level.
Our kids -- Chris, 23, is working in Austin, Texas for IBM after graduating last year from college. He's just recently engaged.
Alexandra, 19, is a sophomore at Purdue and wants to be a doctor.
